The prices you charge for your products and/or services determine the success of your business. Charge too little and you may not remain financially strong (even though you may be generating sales). Charge too much and you may lose to the competition. Setting your pricing strategies is as important to your company as anything else you face. How do you know how to set prices? This workshop will give you an overview of multiple pricing strategies and how to calculate profit margins to assure that you are getting the best return for your investment in materials, labor, and marketing efforts.

Jim is a nine-year SCORE mentor and adjunct business instructor at Kirkwood Community College. He retired from Rockwell Collins Inc. after a career in marketing and program management. Jim's focus is marketing and finance for small businesses. He holds an engineering degree and an MBA.
In this third SCORE workshop in the series on digital marketing, Search Engine Optimization (SEO) will introduce the tools and tricks that every small business owner must know in order to be the top choice when potential customers are looking online for their product or service. Search engines, such as Google or Bing, utilize multiple processes to determine which businesses are displayed and in what order. The rules are ever-changing, which means a business owner must understand how to play the game. Come learn from an expert what today’s rules are, and how a business owner can influence his or her ability to be recognized online.

Sherry has more than 18 years’ Internet marketing and content experience, specializing in Search Engine Optimization (SEO), Search Engine Marketing (SEM), social media, content marketing, reputation marketing and other digital marketing strategies. As a SCORE mentor, Sherry coaches small businesses on how to use digital marketing effectively and has presented at numerous local digital marketing workshops.
