We encourage you to read the stories and watch the episodes prior to our meetings. No registration required.

  • July 16 The Hound of the Baskervilles by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle -AND- Sherlock (Series 2, Episode 2): The Hounds of Baskerville
  • August 20 The Adventure of the Empty House by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle - AND- Sherlock (Series 3, Episode 1): The Empty Hearse

Sherlock TV episodes are available on DVD and through Netflix. If you are having trouble getting a hold of them, we have set up a special reserve copy of the entire series at the Information Desk. These DVDs are available for viewing in the library only. You are welcome to use library equipment such as our DVD player, and even invite friends to watch with you in Meeting Room B on our big screen using the data projector (call ahead to make the meeting room reservation)!

The Sherlock Holmes stories we’ve chosen for discussion are in the library’s book collection, but if you are having trouble getting a hold of them—good news, they are all in the public domain and can be read online for free: readsherlock.com is just one of many websites that has all the stories in an easy-to-read and printer-friendly format.

This is a collaboration of the Marion Public Library and the Granger House Museum and Cultural Center (970 10th Street, Marion).
